THE MUSICIANS AND OPERA SINGERS OF THE VENICE CHORAL FESTIVAL ORCHESTRA

Since 1998, we has developed a fruitful collaboration between the Vivaldi Festival in Venice and the Vivaldi Festival in Sweden. Our musicians and singers are active in various symphony orchestras, chamber orchestras, baroque ensembles and opera houses, including at La Scala in Milan, La Fenice in Venice, Opera di Roma, Opera da Camera di Venezia, Camerata Mandolino Classico and at the Gothenburg Opera, Malmö Opera as well as in the orchestras Venice Baroque and L'Offerta Musicale in Venice.

These musicians and opera singers regularly gives concerts abroad as well as in some of Venice's most prestigious concert venues, the Cà Rezzonico palace on the Grand Canal, the Basilica dei Frari church and the famous Vivaldi church - "Chiesa di Santa Maria della Pietà", where Vivaldi was active during the 18th century. Furthermore, the ensemble is involved during the "Carnevale di Venezia" carnival with performances in the Venetian palaces where an international audience gathers. The ensemble has gained international recognition as skilled interpreters of Venetian Baroque music and the ensemble has made many and extensive tours in Scandinavia, Germany, Austria, Spain, Japan and Italy.

THE VENICE CHORAL FESTIVAL

is part of a much larger operation. This enables us to achieve things far beyond the possibilities of an organisation which is only for the choirs. We look forward to benefitting the chiors and its singers worldwide. We have over 40 years of experience in organising concerts, concert tours and festivals. Our years of international experience have given us the expertise we need to confidently organise and manage concerts, festivals, seminars and master classes. The vast knowledge base of the Venice Choral Festival includes the resources of its sister organisations, the Vivaldi Festival and the Vivaldi Opera Festival in Sweden, Vivaldi Choral Festival and the Venice Mandolin Festival in Italy. It places us in acompletely unique position to work with you to realise your own personal goals.

WE ARE PROGRESSIVE AND OPEN-MINDED

Our activities are open to everyone, from the beginner to the professional performer. Everybody can benefit from our experience, contacts and expertise. Our progressive approach keeps us up to date with the larger international concert scene.

Review from Venice

A review from Venice at the Basilica dei Frari:

“The musicality of Lars Forslund was revealed especially in the Adagio of the Sonatina in C minor for mandolin and harpsichord by Beethoven, which was rendered with subtlety of phrasing and subtle nuances of expression".Letizia Michielon, Il Gazzettino

Review from Venice

A review from Venice at the Palazzo Querini:

“Forslund was the master of about every nuance of dynamics and tone you could imagine in the mandolin, as well as some you might not. He could make the instrument sharp and piercing, as well as muted and dark". Michel Miller Berkshire Review
